CURRENT SERVANT OPPORTUNITIES AND NEEDS

Connections Team

•  The Well Set Up – 1 Sunday per Month
Includes set up and tear down of tables that are used for coffee, tea & snacks. Set up and tear down of table umbrellas, when needed.  

•  Shepherds Program – 1 Hour per week
Shepherds make personal contact with assigned Lakehills Church families once a quarter at minimum and also assist in engaging families in church ministry or services. We are looking for people who enjoy interacting with other Christians, enjoy sharing God’s love, and enjoy connecting the Lakehills Covenant Church family and ministries.

•  Ushers – 1 Sunday per month (either one or both services)
Ushers serve the Church attendees before, during and after church services. Responsibilities include helping people find their seats, answering questions, directing people on the campus, and helping people leave safely. During the Church services, ushers distribute Connections Cards, Bibles, communion, and offering baskets.

•  Greeters - 1 Sunday per month (either one or both services)
Greeters are often the first “face” that people see when they arrive. Responsibilities include warmly welcoming attendees, providing materials needed prior to start of services, directing people to the Auditorium, Nursery, Classrooms, etc.

•  Counters - 1 Sunday per month (either one or both services)
Counters work with another person to count the Sunday’s donations and enter them into a computer. 

Kids Konnection (K-3rd Grades)
•  Teacher – 1st  & 4th Sundays, First Service (9:00am-10:30am)
Teach Sunday School lesson (provided by Kids Konnection Director) and assist in supervising children during craft time.
Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training. Jr High/High School youth welcome to serve.

•  Small Group Leader  - 3rd Sunday, Second Service (10:30am-Noon)
Lead a group of children in discussion and lesson activities. Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training. 

•  Check-In/Check-Out  - 4th Sunday, Second Service (10:30am & 11:45am)
Greet and Check-In new children at the beginning of class (approx. 15-20 min.), provided head count of children to KK Director and Check-Out children at end of class (approx. 10-15 min). Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training. 

•  Set-Up – Sundays, 7:30-8:30am
Set-up and prepare Kids Konnection Classroom (ie put out chairs, set-up check-in table, fill water pitchers, set out toys and activity supplies) and prepare children’s craft. Set-up and prepare STARS Ministry Classroom (set out toys and activity supplies).

•  Children’s Worship Leader – Sundays, Second Service (10:30am-Noon)
Lead children in worship bringing a level of energy and fun to worship time!
Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training. Jr High/High School youth welcome to serve.

•  Community & Events Coordinator
Plan & coordinate events at Lakehills and in the community for the children’s ministries (ie Basketball Camp). Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training. Jr High/High School youth welcome to serve.

Nursery
•  Volunteer – Sundays during 9:00am or 10:30am service
Supervise children in activities, change diapers (as needed), and assist teacher with snack time.
Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training. Jr High/High School youth welcome to serve.

Preschool
•  Teacher – 2nd Sunday, First Service (9:00-10:30am)
•  Teacher – 4th Sunday, First Service (9:00-10:30am)
•  Teacher – 5th Sunday, Second Service (10:30am-Noon) 

Teach Sunday School lesson and craft (provided by Preschool Director), facilitate snack time, oversee free time activities, and assist with Check-Out.
Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training. Jr High/High School youth welcome to serve.

•  Preschool Helper – 2nd Sunday, First Service (9:00-10:30am)
•  Preschool Helper – 4th Sunday, Second Service (10:30am-Noon)

Assist with Sunday School lesson, interact with children during free time activities, set up snacks, monitor outdoor play.
Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training. Jr High/High School youth welcome to serve.

Club 45 (4th & 5th Grade)
•  Teachers (2 people needed) – 1st and/or 3rd Sunday, Second Service (10:30am-Noon)
Open and Close Classroom, teach Sunday School lesson/craft (provided by Club 45 Director), monitor outdoor play.
Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training.

•  Assistant Teachers (2 people needed) – 1st and/or 3rd Sunday, Second Service (10:30am-Noon)
Assist in setting up the Classroom, assist with Sunday School lesson/craft and monitor outdoor play.
Note: All volunteers working with children must be fingerprinted and attend Safe Place Training.

Communications Team
•  Graphic Design and/or Website Assistance – 1-2 Hours per week
Looking for someone who is proficient and/or have working knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop or Mac Pages to help develop bulletin ads, fliers and website banners for church activities and events.

•  Communications Team Member – Team Meeting 3rd Wednesday of the Month
Work with team to create and craft messages and means to “represent and extend” the ministries of Lakehills to the membership and our community. Experience in marketing, communications, proofreading and/or general communication skills preferred. Tasks assigned as needed. Approx. 3-5 hours per month.

Facility Rentals
•  Staff Members – 3-4 persons, 2-3 Hours per month
Work with a team to advertise and market Lakehills facilities to the surrounding communities.
Commitment for a minimum of 1 year.

Technical Team
•  Tech Team Member – 3-4 persons needed, Minimum 1 Sunday Morning & 1 Thursday Evening per month
Attend the worship rehearsal (Thursday evening) on the week scheduled and operate tech booth equipment during Sunday services. Skills in lighting, mixing and video preferred, but will train.
