The First Touch Ministry exists to extend a welcoming, hospitable spirit to people as they arrive and participate in our worship service. With our First Touch Ministry potentially being a person’s first encounter and impression of Lakehills, we feel this ministry is vital to our overall outreach to our community. We focus on engaging with people to ensure they have every opportunity to feel welcome and at home. Our team consists of different groups, each with a precise task to make those attending feel welcomed. The team is responsible for informing guests about the church campus, providing them a weekly bulletin, answering questions, offering beverages in the lobby, helping them find a seat, providing a Bible for the service, collecting the offering, and distributing communion. This ministry takes place at the church, and occurs before, during and after service depending on the group.

HOW TO CONNECT
The First Touch Ministry is run entirely by volunteers, and represents our church to the community. Most volunteers commit to one Sunday per month, and enrollment is always open. Our team consists of ushers, greeters, and kitchen/coffee crews. Many of our volunteers love to meet people directly, while others prefer to remain behind the scenes. This is a low-pressure, but highly important ministry.

If you have a desire to join our First Touch Ministry, or would like more information, email Tim Wilson or complete an online Connections Card.
