Mark has been apart of the Pastoral Team at Lakehills
since 2004. He is known for his passion, drive and caring spirit. Mark calls himself a recovering legalist, meaning (in his
words), that he is "learning to live in light of God's love and grace." Mark's passion is to see people
live out every part of their lives, aligned with God's mission to restore and redeem this world back to a pure and unbroken
relationship with Himself. Mark is
madly in love with his wife Kelli of 12 years. They have three amazing children, Madelyn, Kameryn and Brennan.
Prior to joining Lakehills, Mark held numerous pastoral positions at First Covenant Church of
Sacramento. He also has previous experience as a Management Consultant, specializing in conflict resolution.
Mark has an Associated Degree in Liberal Studies
and Emergency Medical Services from Columbia College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication and Management
from CSU Sacramento. He received his Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Leadership from Western Seminary. He has been confirmed
by Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) for Ordination to Word & Sacrament, is a member in good standing of the ECC's
Ministerial Association, and is a licensed Taylor Johnson Temperament Analysis (TJTA) Counselor.
In
addition to his pastoral training, Mark has completed training in EMT, California State Fire Marshall Low Angle Rope Rescue
and Heavy Rescue, and Swiftwater Rescue Tech. He is a member of the CSU Alumni Association and the El Dorado Hills Chamber
of Commerce.
