Lakehills is about people, real people, not just people always claiming to be right. This spirit of authenticity is not only attractive to our present culture but it also creates a climate in which real spiritual discovery can take place. I extend a personal invitation to everyone to come and experience this journey with us at Lakehills. What awaits you here is a family of friends full of the grace and the presence of Jesus.

Throughout my years in the workplace, I’ve always gravitated to jobs that act as support or help to others. I truly believe we are here for a purpose: to love and help one another. My role as the church office administrator fits this natural trend in my life. While working to help keep our staff and facilities running smoothly, I enjoy my frequent interactions with Lakehills families as well as other community members and leaders.

Over the thirteen years I have been on the Lakehills’ staff, I have worn many hats. Currently, I am the pastor of Student Ministries working with Club 45 and Junior High, and the director of our youth performing arts group, Jesus in the House (JITH). I enjoy helping our youth develop into healthy, happy, well-rounded, giving people with a vibrant love for Jesus.

I love kids interacting, conversing, and fielding their various questions like, “How did God write the Bible with no hands?” I have a passion to help families; seeing kids and parents build lifelong, strong family bonds and help each other discover who they are in Christ. My goal is to have a vibrant Children’s Department where kids and parents can’t wait to come and don’t want to leave. Since 1997, I’ve been involved in a variety of lay ministries but kept coming back to children. This is where I’m happy to belong!
Royce Gough
Growing up in El Dorado County, I am partial to our families and students. I enjoy working with our high school students and believe they have been given every advantage in the world upon which to step out and be exactly what God has designed them to be. Our students are intelligent, not just smart, compassionate, not just kind, and thoughtful, not just active. It is a privilege to work with them as they not only desire to be in community, but challenge one another to be better.

Working with children is my passion and being able to do it in a musical, theatrical environment gives me great joy. With each KOK show it is inspiring to see the excitement in the children as the show starts to come together. I get to witness them applying Biblical principles that we are learning about to their lives. The impact that doing a show can have on a child, their parent or audience member gives me true satisfaction and purpose.
Diana Rietz
Throughout my years here at Lakehills I’ve been involved in a variety of areas: church dramas, women’s ministries, and Bible studies. In 2012, I started working in the church office as an assistant. This is a new area of involvement for me as I assist with various tasks including answering phones, updating attendance records, preparing staff reports and Sunday bulletins. I enjoy interacting with the families of Lakehills and am excited about my role.

I have a genuine love for children and am blessed to be a part of the Nursery. In the Nursery, we strive to let children know they are loved and valued by providing them with a nurturing environment and fun Bible-based and play activities so they can grow spiritually, physically, mentally and socially.
Sunday Martines-Pearson
Due to the nature of my position, I am usually called upon during times of uncertainty or crisis. It is in these difficult times, that I want to share God’s love and facilitate an awareness of His presence. My passion is to affirm the dignity of every human being regardless of race, color or creed.
