Pastor Ron founded Lakehills Covenant Church in 1994 with the support of First Covenant
Church, Sacramento. His vision was to build a church for real people where everyone is accepted, loved, and involved.
A place to find men, women, boys, and girls alike, all set on the journey of discovering what Jesus Christ
has in store for their lives.
In his words, "Lakehills is about people, real people, not just people always
claiming to be right. This spirit of authenticity is not only attractive to our present culture but it also creates a climate
in which real spiritual discovery can take place. We are fully present in the belief that it is the gospel of Jesus Christ
which provides the ultimate answers to mankind's questions."
Before founding Lakehills, Ron was the Founding Pastor of Sierra Vista Covenant church in Grass Valley, CA.
He has also served as a pastor throughout California, including Escalon, San Francisco, and Glendale. In addition to the pastorate, Ron is actively involved in Young Life, starting out as a Young
Life leader in San Francisco, and served on the Young Life Committee for El Dorado County until 2004 And, he spent 18
years coaching High School football in the greater Sacramento area.
Ron
received his Bachelor of Arts from Simpson College in San Francisco and a Masters of Divinity from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena. His
post-seminary work was completed at North Park Seminary in Chicago. He holds a Ministerium license through the Pacific Southwest
Conference and the Evangelical Covenant Church. He is a member of the El Dorado Hills
Chamber of Commerce and the Pacific Southwest Conference and National Covenant Ministerial Association. In addition, he serves
as the chair of the Church Planting Committee for the Pacific Southwest Conference.
When he's not at Lakehills, Ron loves to travel, especially in cross cultural situations.
He loves going to museums and seeing sights and locations that have real meaning to Christianity and the history of the United
States. He also enjoys golfing, fishing, backpacking, river rafting, mountain climbing and a new favorite - zip-lining!
He extends a personal invitation to everyone to come
and experience this journey with us at Lakehills. What awaits you, he says, "Is a family of friends full of the
grace and the presence of Jesus."
