Talk About Autism! is a volunteer, parent-led support group established in July 2008 and is designed to foster COMMUNITY SUPPORT and INFORMATION EXCHANGE to help children and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our goal is to provide a forum for parents and others to access and exchange information about current ASD research, educational programs, therapies, success stories, biomedical interventions and more. We MUST TALK ABOUT AUTISM to successfully treat Autism!

IEP Preparation & Special Education Law
presented by Michael Rosenberg, Executive Director of Area Board 3

The Area Board provides advocacy services for more than 1.6 million people including children receiving special education services and families and adults served by the regional center system. Michael Rosenberg is the Executive Director of Area Board 3 and has spent more than two decades assisting families in identifying and assuring appropriate services for children and adults by advocating and negotiating on their behalf. Please join us as Michael discusses key factors in preparing for an IEP meeting and explains your rights throughout the IEP process.

Childcare is available in the preschool facility with advance reservations for a limited number of children. The cost for one child is $10. Additional children are $5 each. Childcare is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please indicate special needs upon registration. We make every attempt to accomodate these needs. To ensure the safety of all children, additional parent and/or supervision support may be requested for children with extensive needs.
