Welcome to the Nursery at Lakehills Church. One of God’s greatest gifts is children. We take great joy in serving your family by providing a fun, safe and secure environment for children, infants and toddlers up to 3 years of age, to grow and learn about God. Through simple Bible stories, music, and activities, the children are introduced to God and Jesus. Our Nursery is sure to delight and inspire your child by the love of Jesus with hand-painted murals, age appropriate toys and a loving nursery staff. It is our desire to partner with parents helping your child feel loved and gain confidence and comfort in our church family.
SAFETY & SECURITY
Your child’s safety is a priority for us. We understand the importance of knowing your children are in a secure environment. Our Nursery Staff is comprised of parents, as well as volunteers who love children and are aware of appropriate security and safety procedures. Fingerprinting is required of all workers, and there is limited access to the children’s classrooms. All Nursery volunteers have also gone through an application process that includes reference checks and interviews.
Upon arrival, you will check-in with the Nursery Staff. You and your child will be provided with matching name badges. These badges are used for pick-up and dismissal procedures. Nursery and Preschool also provide pagers to parents as needed.
HOW TO CONNECT
The Nursery program is led by Sheree Staker. Volunteers at both services on Sundays care for the children (ie set-up, clean-up, diapers, snack) and serve in any way that is needed. The most important attribute in a volunteer for the Nursery is to have a love of working with infants and small children and a nurturing heart.
