ALPHA
Alpha is designed to help
people explore the Christian faith in a low-key, friendly and fun setting.
Everyone is welcome! People
attend from many different backgrounds and viewpoints. They attend for a variety of reasons. Some want to investigate
whether God exists and if there is any point to life; others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others
may have attended church all their life, but feel they never really understood the basics of the Christian faith. Alpha is the course for everyone who thinks there may be more to life than
meets the eye.
The Alpha course consists of
a series of talks facilitated by a Lakehills Family, based on the book "Questions of Life" by Nicky Gumbel. The
typical format includes a meal, video session, and small group talk to further explore the video topic. Topics range from
"Christianity: Boring, Untrue, or Irrelevant," "Who is Jesus," "Why & How Do I Pray,"
" How Does God Guide Us," and more!
There is no cost to attend an Alpha course at Lakehills.
