KIDS OF THE KINGDOM
Known as "KOK", Kids of the Kingdom is a popular
youth ministry at Lakehills. It's a musical and theatrical ministry group for Kindergartners through eighth
graders. KOK provides an opportunity for our youth to use their God-given talents to glorify Him.
The
group performs two musicals each year - one in the Spring and one in the Winter. Each performance has a biblical theme
and message, and encourages the children to learn 10-12 bible verses associated with the chosen theme.
Past
KOK performances have included A Star is Born, Sermon on the Mound, King of the Jungle, Miracle on Main Street and
more! The most recent production, A Star is Born focused on the true "star" of any Christmas production, Jesus
Christ.
Rehearsals are on Sunday evenings and include songs, choreography,
and hand motions while learning the word of God. The group also sings in select Sunday Services as rehearsal for musical performances.
The musicals and performances present a fun and exciting format for children to learn and grow in their walk with
their Savior.
SONBEAM SINGERS
We also have a program for
our preschoolers called Sonbeam Singers. This group is the opening act for the KOK performances and perform two-three
simple songs. They rehearse on Sunday evenings in a the Preschool Room from 6:00 - 7:30. Rehearsals include activities, songs,
and snack!
