STARS (Special Needs Ministry)
The STARS ministry exists to provide extra help for those children who have special needs (autism, cerebral palsy, cognitive, behavioral, or other physical or mental impairments), and is open to Preschool through elementary school-aged children. Our goal in STARS is to include all kids in the loving worship of Jesus. STARS offers specially-trained guides who work with each child on a one-on-one basis. Our guides partner with the parents to accomplish goals set by both the parents and the STARS Director. The general goal is always inclusion with the child’s peers at whatever level the child and parents desire.
We have a separate room for check-in and kids are able to stay in this specially-equipped room or join the Kids Konnection class with the trained guide. It is our desire to serve all children and this requires a safe, loving and informed environment. Jesus loves all the children and we are proud to offer the STARS program and welcome the opportunity to do our part in fulfilling His call.

SAFETY & SECURITY
Your child’s safety is a priority for us. We understand the importance of knowing your children are in a secure environment. Our children’s Ministry Staff is comprised of parents, as well as volunteers, who love children and are aware of appropriate security and safety procedures. Fingerprinting is required of all workers, and there is limited access to the children’s classrooms.
Upon arrival, you will check-in with the Kids Konnection Staff. You and your child will be provided with matching name badges. These badges are used for pick-up and dismissal procedures.
HOW TO CONNECT
STARS is completely volunteer run. We have a dedicated group of adults and teens that love these kids. They are patient and able to redirect the kids, yet firm and loving.
